Since the outbreak of COVID-19, our Thame community has sprung into action. Neighbours have connected and looked out for each other more than usual; informal support groups have organised to support people in need; charities, volunteer groups, businesses, churches and many others have all rallied together to support the town and it’s residents. Working together with Thame Town Council, we decided to create these awards to recognise and celebrate some of the incredible work that has been done during this difficult time. 

 

We received a huge number of nominations which captures so much of the amazing work that took place during lockdown. We then went on to receive over 2000 votes in the final round!

 

• Community Champions:   individuals and/or community groups who has gone above and beyond to support you or other members of the community during lockdown. ​All winners will receive a certificate with the comments from nominations included!

 

• Thame Based Charities: Each year Thame Rewards Club donates 20% from funds raised from the sale of membership cards. This year there is an award of £500 up for grabs! Vote for a local charity who has stepped up to provide for our community.

• Local Businesses: a local independent business that helped to support you, or those you know, during lockdown. We do however, recognise that not all businesses have been able to remain open. All nominees will receive a certificate with comments from nominations included. To support businesses bounce back, there will be THREE overall winners. The winner with the biggest number of votes will win a premium 'Spotlight Package' package with Thame Rewards Club - Shop OX9 and the two runners up will receive a 'Get Visible' package.
